This is a very sad excuse for a school. Students there are not encouraged to voice concerns. The Management is very immature and unprofessional. I would strongly discourage anyone wanting to enroll in this school.

I am a recent graduate of OSOP and really liked it. I looked for a long time for a school that was reasonable in price and actually taught you rather than just talked at you. The instructors were really helpful and any time I had a problem, they really tried to fix it. I even have gone back in since graduation to get help on setting up some stuff and they were right there and took the time to walk me all the way through it.

Just save yourself the $10000 and buy a book you will learn more. This school is a joke. The school manager is rude and and doesn't really care abot the learning experience, all she cares about is pocketing your money. The only good reveiws on the website were obviously from her or another instructor, that just shows you what a fraud she is.

I am a recent graduate of OSOP and truly enjoyed my time there. I have done a lot since my graduation and learned what I needed to in order to work in photography. The staff is helpful and does their best with each student. My only complaint about the school was not with the school, but with some of the other students. I had more problems with whiny, gossipy students who ignored the instructors and tried to help one another rather than asking for help from the staff. I wonder how many of these "dissatisfied students" are ones who were called into the office because of not showing up to class, coming in late, not doing their work, or for attitude problems or chatting on their phones during class. The only students that I knew while I was going there that were "dissatisfied" were those who didn't do their work and didn't show up, so they were in trouble. I would recommend this school to any student who actually wants to learn about photography and has the drive to actually do it. I know they have added an online program, but I graduated from the other program.

Hi, I am currently a HAPPY & Satisfied student at OSOP. The owners and staff are both friendly and helpful. I have learned so much and feel attending this school has been a positive decision. The curriculum is practical and informative. The tuition is very inexpensive and it's only a quick 9 month program. Those serious about their future should come take a tour of OSOP.

Horrible school, horrible staff, horrible curriculum, and horrible learning environment. Manager has a son who is the biggest distraction possible yet we are not allowed to have cell phones. Their best instructor just quit and the school will go straight to hell without her. I can only count down days till my graduation to get the f*** out of there. Do NOT send your children and do NOT attend yourself. You are treated as though you are a child and will be made fun of in front of every student. You will also be treated like you're the biggest f***ing idiot on the planet if you do the slightest thing wrong or differently. This is definitely the worst school I have ever encountered.

I am a Student at The Oklahoma School of Photography. I have many complaints regarding the curriculum, and faculty at OSOP.

First... I feel like a third grader wrote our lesson plans. They are hard to understand... and watch out, if you are dumb enough to ask Kristi Brumel for help, (the school manager) she will be fast to let you know what a dumb ass you are. (Incase you needed to be reminded) Anyone who has attended school OSOP can reefer to the lesson sheets... only to find confusing directions, about as many spelling and grammatical errors as I am making now, and vague and often incorrect definitions of commonly used art terms

The equipment is out of date, like the computers.... old old old macs. They run slower than a snail. I have found that the studios are not kept up very well, but if you don't mind making due with very little help, there really are lots of awesome things to learn about photography. This school really pushes Cannon cameras, if you do your market research cannon is not always best, so make sure to really know what you want when your about to spend two grand on a camera.

My last complaint is with Kirist Brumul. She is unprofessional, rude, unorganized and lazy. It is apparent that nobody is fond of her.  She is hostile with the students and also the staff at times.  The instructors talk about quitting, and roll there eyes at her rude, snide comments. You can see how his all makes for a stressful learning environment. There is no organization, and i have seen her make billing mistakes, also there has been talk from an instructor of her forging documentation regarding a students attendance before graduation. If I would have known more about the school i would not have moved and chosen to attend this school. i do not believe it has been worth my money.
